Wrong Team Won…Cards should be champs

That was a great Super Bowl and you could feel the country pulling for the Cardinals but it just wasn’t to be. Pittsburgh gave up all momentum only to steal it back in the last drive. Santonio Holmes may not be the greatest role model for our children, but he’s a great great football player and he showed it on the biggest stage of them all.

The Cards should have won the game. The Cards should have won. I’ve said it to myself over and over and over and it is painful and I’m not a Cards fan really. I’m a Cub fan so naturally I cheer for the underdog in most cases, but that game seemed like a good versus type scenario. My wife doesn’t even watch football but couldn’t turn the channel at the end of the game. It’s the most sports she’s talked with me in years if you don’t count apologies for the Cubs seasons. I gained an ever stronger respect for Kurt Warner. He put up 350 yards against a great defense with only a few mistakes thrown in. The most costly being the interception returned for a touchdown at the end of the 1st half. The Cards showed heart by coming back and never gave up even though most of the country did. Our super bowl party ended up being 3 people by mid 3rd quarter. Everyone bailed.

In the end the Steelers showed why they are Super Bowl champs by coming back like they did, but I can’t help but think the wrong team won.
