We need to let this man go. He’s a true pro and was a great pro but there is nothing behind his asking the Jets to release him. He wanted to be released so he could officially retire a Packer and I believe this completely.

Favre was great for 18 years and is a first ballot hall of famer. He played the position well and with a flare that isn’t in the league right now but we all need to let him go and me included. I pray we don’t get back to where we were last spring/summer where if Brett sneezed we were reporting/bloggin on it. Favre is done and we need to let him be. Any team who takes him now will be making a mistake because it only sets your franchise back at this point. He’s a veteran qb with diminished skills who would not want to come back as a bench player. He would want to play for a playoff contender and those teams are there because they have established qb’s already. He’s done and we need to be ok with this.

I won’t blog about Brett anymore until he officially retires as a Packer and it will be a small “i told you so” blog because I can finally say that we’ve seen Brett Favre play football for the final time.
